Job opportunities are very limited in Guatemala, This is why we need to focus our creativity to build opportunities for ourselves, our families and our communities.
This introductory course was developed by the collaboration between BTA and English Now! to guide you during 10 sessions, and learn about the key principles to start your entrepreneurship in Guatemala.

What’s your Why?
In this workshop, you will:
1. Understand “why” to be an entrepreneur,
2. Define Your “Why?”
3. Brainstorming about the problem you have a passion to solve.
In this workshop, you will:
1) Generate business ideas
2) Align your ideas with your Why,
3) Research the problem you are trying to solve,
4) Validate your problem-solution combo.
In this workshop, you will:
1) Understand the market needs
2) Define the target customer
3) Define and refine your value proposition in 1-2 sentences
In this workshop, you will:
1) learn about each item on the business model canvas
2) work on the first 4 components of it.
In this workshop, you will:
1) Work on the last 5 components of the canvasmodel
2) Solve any doubts about the tool.
In this workshop, you will:
1) Learn the basics of marketing and sales funnels,
2) Learn or/and set up a minimum of 2 digital marketing channels,
3) Brainstorm about the communication to your customer.
In this workshop, you will:
1) Learn the basics about personal finances,
2) Learn the importance of setting healthy financial habits,
3) Learn the basics about the finances for your business.
In this workshop, you will:
1) Learn about the different business structures that are legal in Guatemala,
2) Learn the specific steps to start each of the structures,
3) Define which stucture is the most suitable for your type of business.
In this workshop, you will:
1) Set the vision, and short and long-term goals for your proyects,
2) Learn how to build a basic strategic plan for your proyects,
3) Learn the importance of innovation to differentiate from competitors.
In this workshop, you will:
1) Define your leadership style,
2) Learn the basics of networking in person and online through LinkedIn,
3) Learn about future opportunities that can help you in your entrepreneurial career: local and international incubation and accelerator programs, free online resources to continue learning about entrepreneurship, guatemalan blogs and resources from the entrepreneurship community.
